Donating this Cutting Board to be auctioned off to raise money to help kids with reading difficulties. It is 12×12 x1-5/8 thk and made from Shedua, Hard Maple, Bubinga, European Beech, Macawood, Black Walnut, and Marblewood. I sealed it with Salad Bowl finish and finished it with mineral oil/beeswax.

Very nice and a great cause. I love the mix of woods, they really make that board pop.

When you donate these to a silent auction.. Do you put simple care instructions with them? If so.. what do they say..

Thanks all for the wonderful comments. The CB sold for $50. I always put a card with a list of the woods and the country they originated from. Also, Cutting Board Care and Maintenance card;
You have purchased a fine handcrafted cutting board, made from different hardwoods, and if taken care of, it will last you a very long time. The wood has been thoroughly sealed with “Butcher block sealer” (non toxic) and coated with a blend of mineral oil and beeswax.
You will need to apply a coat of mineral oil or butcher block conditioner about once a month.
To clean, just rinse with water and wipe off.
Do not put in the dishwasher!
