Nothing fancy here, just a quick project to make a weather station for our house. I chose a thermometer, barometer and hydrometer for the three meters. A nice piece of free mahogany and some danish oil finish it off.

I chose to route a fairly deep rabbet in the back from top to bottom in order to allow air to the meters, as you are supposed to. The mahogany is so pretty by itself I didn’t feel the need to do anything special to the wood. Just rounded over edges.

Looks good, I agree, the Mahogany is so nice the way it is, just the danish oil is all it needed.

This is a beautiful weather station and looks like a fun project.
