This is a strange one I know but I had to post it. I made this the Halloween before last and It was the first thing I ever built, this project is what got me into woodworking. I made this as a prop for our Halloween party. When I started this project the only woodworking tools I had were a hammer and a cheap circular saw with the stock blade. Its far from perfect or a showpiece but I had a ton of fun building it and it got me into this hobby I love.

You did a nice job for a first project using only a hammer and circular saw! Everything gets better with more experience. Welcome to Lumberjocks!

Nice coffin, didn’t think I would ever say that. You did a great job, now how about a mechanical zombie that jumps out for this Halloween? You have only about 5 months left. ;)

Corey,
I believe, by the fit of your joints and the precission of the trim work, you have Mastered the skillsaw and hammer.
You’re a natural born woodworker and destined for greater challenges, and most likely a Shop full of tools.

Wow! Remember that all woodworking was done with hand tools.
