A pair of side tables featuring botternut rounds and patinated cast aluminum. Each base was made of three separate identical castings, welded together in a circular pattern, then coated with a bronze emulsion that was patinated. Everything finished with solvent lacquer.

Cool design. On the one with the knot hole in the top…. this would make a great opening for a lamp cord. Did you do the castings yourself??

I made the master model and worked with the foundry guys to make the sand molds. They did the pours and TIG welding to my specs, I did the rest. Lotta fun.

Yeah… mold making has long intrigued me… but for whatever reason it always seems complicated to me. I had a couple of pieces cast in pewter a few years back. Very unique tables!

That’s a beautiful table, I love the live edge and the laquer finish, early pops. Nicely done.
