Jeanmarc, the project took about 80 hrs., which is way too long. Rob, the interior is done in velvet. I purchased the the box and 12×24 sheets from Rockler. It’s a little on the $ side, but well worth it in the end.

Beautiful armoire, my wife is looking for something like this for our bedroom, was this your own design or from plans?

Very nice, what are the dimensions of this? It looks big, but looks can be deceiving I guess.

Martin: I designed on the fly. This is a terrible way to do things. It cost me a lot of extra time, oh well. Richard: the overall dim are 24w x 16d x 40h. The inset sides are exactly 12” so the velvet sheets would fit w/o being cut. It is going to be delivered Wednesday to the client. It is for his wife’s birthday.

This is a real looker. I’ve never seen the red oak and birdseye combo before. With the black accent and contemporary style it really looks elegant.
