I made this as a gift for my Sister Inlaw, it’s hard Maple and Purple Heart, the top is end grain but I back it up with a small pcs of Maple so it can be reinforced. simple and she like it a lot. thks for stopping by! -- Jorge Velez, Guadalajara, Mexico.

The maple on the box looks like quarter sawn sycamore. I would love to find some maple like that! Nice job on the build.

no use plantilla, tenia unos restos de Maple de otro proyecto y me gusto como se veia la “Testa” del corte que me quedo, asi que centre el corte para que quedara como figura de catedral al centro de la tapa, despues solo la corte a mano libre con mi Sierra Cinta que hice hace unos meses y use madera morada (Purple Heart) y la pegue de nuevo las dos maderas.
por ser testa y tan delgada la reforce con otro laminado de maple por la parte de abajo
