After my overnight attempt at these I new I wanted to make a much better one.

This was from an ash branch that had been in the slash pile for a couple years. I used aromatic Red Cedar for the sides and back of the drawer. The drawer pull is my “wonder” wood (I’m still wondering what it is). I’ll show it more in future posting.

Still a lot of imperfections but I am a lot happier with the outcome. Multiple coats of poly for finish.

Thanks for looking

Nice job Monte. When you come visit maybe we’ll make a live edge mesquite one. You probably don’t get much mesquite in your neighborhood.

Nice box and I bet the cedar will definitely give the user a “surprise” smell when it’s opened. Good job.
