These are the first projects from my shop. Made these for Christmas 2011- pencil/crayon boxes for grand daughters and tool boxes for grandsons. This was my first attempt at box joints. -- Jack, Albuquerque

Nice work! There is nothing more satisfying than making something for family or friends…especially if it means you have to buy some more tools.

I like the cherry you used in Olivia’s holder. It looks to be a good sturdy design. The tool box should be a winner too. Glad to see you rounded some of the edges on the toolbox project.

Great gifts for your grandchildren. Good work! By the way you mentioned doing projects to supplement your income, well, these may be just the ticket at craft shows and flea markets.
