I made this box for my dad for christmas in memory of his father who passed away. I lost some of the pictures of it but will post them when I find them. This is a music box that plays the song “Blessed Assurance”. I had installed the movement inside and lined the inside of the box with red felt and brass. This box has brass feet as well as a brass chain inside to keep the lid from opening too far. I stained a picture of my the music score along with a picture of my grandfather on the front of the lid. I am very please with how well this turned out.

Welcome to LumberJocks. Nice looking box, I like the idea of the picture on the lid. How did you do it?

I can’t think of a better present to your dad. You did a great job. Your dad must be very proud of your work.
