These are pictures of the master bedroom remodel that I did about a year ago. I installed 300 square feet of brazillian cherry flooring and added cherry crown molding, trim and wainscoting to compliment the flooring. All told I used 300 board feet of solid cherry in building the rails, stiles, base, 3 piece crown and trim. I also used 10 sheets of cherry plywood in the wainscoting field. Finish was two coats of danish oil followed by 5 coats of wipe on poly. When it was finished I decided to buy cherry cover plates to replace the plastic ones. But, of course, my wife wasn’t satisfied with just replacing the plates in this room so I had to do the entire house to match.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Scott;
—-great work, great photos and great cherry!
I also know and follow you on that thought off….it doesn’t stop here; “what about if we, ( but then it all-ways means you) continue this effect in another room of the house.” But then that’s what houses//homes are…..never ending stories.
Thank you for sharing this one with us….
GODSPEED,

I love the color and the wainscoting. Awesome job. Remember, the wife is the biggest critic. If she’s happy, your happy.

I love the look of cherry. That is gorgeous. It would be hard to put furniture in there and cover up that beautiful floor. A lovely space! Congrats.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes the wife was happy with it (she did complain about how ling it was taking me to finish though). But she has nice taste in furniture so what went back in there was complimented by the wainscoting.

I love cherry, Scott. All I can say is wow ! I wish I could afford 300 board feet of it! I’m thinking about something similar, but only in a little 4×6 powder room we have on the first floor, so I can probably make due with less.
