Just finished another pedal plane, this time a P-51 Mustang. It’s painted in the colors of triple ace, Bud Anderson’s “Old Crow”. Just as the other planes, construction is primarily 3/8” birch plywood, pine, and sheet aluminum. This one was built for my step-son’s baseball team to raffle off.

Nice plane! But, there’s not enough camber in the wing. The kid will never be able to pedal fast enough to take off! You need a big fat Clark-Y airfoil to get that contraption off the ground. LOL
If I ever have a grandchild I’ll build one. A kid would love one of these.

Way cool….and even instruments and switches too. The kid that gets that will be the talk of the preschool. Nice job and thanks for sharing.

This plane and the other you have built are really fabulous. It makes me want to be a kid again. The kids who get these must be the most popular on the block, I’m sure everyone wants to ride in them.

Fantastic job! Reminds me of the movie Empire of the Sun with Christian Bale.
