I started with a fish because I knew my nephew liked colorful fish. Than I needed an appropriate setting for it. Now I call it my lost treasure because I’m sure my ship has sunk.

Chips,

This is a wonderful carving. I will never understand how carvers produce works like this. The talent it takes to do something like this is truly a gift.

Thanks for the post. The colors and detail on the piece are simply outstanding. I am sure your nephew will love this.

Hey Chips, how big was that when you started? How long did it take finish?

Great tableau. I’m sure any kid would like this. I sure do.

Looks like something you would see in a fish tank.

It’s 12”x12”x11” high. Unknown time line. I built several other projects while working on this.

As soon as I saw this picture, the song “under the sea” from one of the Disney movies came to mind…..

Very nice piece.

Looks more like you found the treasure in the wood!
