Ladder- a serving board

It wasnt intentional, but this design came out looking like a ladder.
It will be used to serve cheese, perhaps Ladderkrantz :-) Its very similar to Liederkranz.
This took several glue ups to incorporate the different laminations.
I enjoy the puzzle of how to work in subtle details using either color or opposing lines or both in each board.
In a way its like painting in wood.

Walnut with accents of maple, bubinga, walnut, wenge and purpleheart.
Mineral oil finish.

This is for the ladies website Winefinity.

Thanks for looking,
Andy

Your cutting boards are really fantastic. The only problem is I do not understaand how anyone could possibly use it as a cutting board and start leaving knife marks on such nice wood/work. It is more deserving of being a piece of wall art.

Nice design work Andy-this pattern would work on one of your boxes too.

The contrast in those woods and finish is great. It really pops. Thanks for sharing.

Well Andy, in spite of the intentions, I like this board best of all so far. I think it is the wood combinations that worked so well with this particular design.

Thank you everyone, glad you like it.
@Grizz- I have another box done but have been playing with different ideas for the dividers. The boards let my mind rest on that subject and things will jell before too long.
You are going to enjoy this new box, its pretty cool…at least to me. Stay tuned it wont be long.

Another great one Andy! I wish we lived close to one another it would be great to have coffee and see one progress and bounce ideas around. Will have to settle for the internet. LOL

Great work.
