This is a Mulberry (I think) vase which I made using my own hollow form approach. I cannot do the normal hollowing so I simply turn two bowls and glue them together to get the hollowing. Cut from a single log, fairly well matched grain and disguised the join with three burned rings. Oiled and buffed finish. Lovely colours in the wood from tan right through to pinks and purples. Hope you like.

I’ve used the same technique. Very nice hollow for, it looks great.

Great idea for those not adventurous enough to try hollowing out a decorative vase. Especially a tall one. You could also hide the center cut with a band or two of in layed veneer.
