This puzzle was created for two reasons.
The first is that my Mother-in-Law is a HUGE Baltimore Orioles fan and I knew she would like it. :-)
The second is that I was asked to put together a tutorial blog on how I go about creating these types of puzzles.

The puzzle is an image of Brooks Robinson’s Rookie Card and measures 3 1/2×5 inches. The base of the puzzle if 1/8” thick maple.
I also made a tiny tray that holds the puzzle when not in use. It has a walnut base and sides made of baltic birch plywood.
I used spray lacquer to finish both pieces – be careful spraying any product onto ink-jet created images! I got lucky in this case (I DID practice on another image first).
