Expanded my cutting board to a set

This is a new cutting board design that allows the design to carry to other fun kitchen stuff. Set of S&P shakers and a spoon to match. Had some fun getting sizes right on 1/4” purple-heart. It must be exact because when you flip to final lineup mismatch is accumulative.

Maple and purple-heart. Board size is 22×13.5” , S&P 5.25 square x 5.25 long, spoon is 16” long. Bowl of spoon is 3.5×2.5”

Finish:
to 320 grit with OBS
60/40% butcher block and mineral spirits. 3 coats 400 grit between coats. Rub out with 600

No matter how hard I look at the first picture I can’t get over the feeling that the board undulates. What a great illusion! It’s also interesting how the purple-heart curves in the bowl of the spoon. A super matched set.
