being new at this craft i use to look at the videos and project all ways learned some things but as of late i been reading some blogs and forums too there is a wealth of knowledge to gain in some of them.a week r so ago i read a blog on a build of bee hives
http://lumberjocks.com/SASmith/blog/29309
it was a great build from this LJ i favored it and said i dont think i’ll ever build any bee hives but those Technic s he used were good for a host of things the next day my neighbor came over with some plans for a bee hive from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HjS0T99G9zQi so i guess never say never it took us a few days to do it. me r him are no Norm Abrems but it came out really good .

At first glance I thought I was looking at a coffin…...then I opened it and saw it was a bee hive, as you call it. How many of us ever think of making our own coffin?? A pine box or some elaborate creation that the pro’s post on here with inlays and wood hinges…...And I like your moniker, Jesus is ok with me too.

Thanks for the mention.
I like the observation window so you can monitor comb construction.
I have considered building a top bar hive. Maybe your post will be motivation enough for me to make one now.
How wide did you make your top bars? 1 3/8” ?
