This is a fake beamed ceiling and bookshelves I did with angle ripped plywood. (Thanks for the ideas guys). It really turned out cool, Looks a bit exotic. The only thing I did not like is the rounded corner on the desk. Lots of work and not real happy with the result. It sure made for a great office. Done very cheaply, compared to real wood of course, but was very labor intense. Hope you all like it.

Hey functional and sturdy are the hallmarks of a good office. It looks like you have accomplished both.

Ok, I give. How do you do that “angle ripped plywood”? Can you point me towards the post or something?! That looks way to cool!

It is cut into 3-1/4 inch strips, then ripped at about an 11 degree angle on end. It is a lot of work and tough on a saw, but the look is fun.
