To go with the tabletop and countertop, I built 4 benchtops for the main open room in the railroad building. There was a concrete ledge about 4” tall in the “U” shape that needed to be covered, so they built benches on top. The tops I made with 1.75” thick beetle kill pine and they all are 19” wide. They range from 5-10’ long. Finished with poly. Not too fancy, but for a classroom setting and the historic building it’s in, they were very pleased. The construction company doing the build said the tables and benches I made were the focal point of the remodel, their customers loved it.
