My Newest Bowl – 13 1/4” D x 4 1/4” H – 195 pieces – Curly Maple, Padauk and Wenge.
This bowl took me 2 weeks to make. Yeah, I took my time, but I had fun with playing with colors! Trying to find pleasing color combinations and patterns is not as easy as it would seem without making it look too busy. Finding a pleasing shape is not that easy to do but I think I did OK here. This is finished with several coats of BLO (boiled linseed oil) mixed with Beeswax. I had to wait almost a month for the finish to dry enough to really buff it out with several coats of wax.
Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated!
Till next time, happy turning!

Eye popping. Reminds me of the Hitchcock movie “Vertigo”.

Bearpie: Another real nice piece of work, though I don’t think you outdid your last bowl titled “My Best Bowl Yet” Still a Top Shelf piece.

I guess you had very good time during building the blank of this great bowl. How could you wait that long for the oil to dry? It very nice as usual.

Very nice looking bowl and nice to know that you had fun playing with it. It is great having fun in the shop,
and turning out a bowl like this makes it even better. Thank you for sharing.
