This is the second wooden hat that I turned out of two solid silky oak and sixty pieces of she oak ventilator. The only difference of #1 is the brim that goes upwards.
For long time I wanted to turn a hat but I put that project off worrying of its diffuclty, size and thickness. But I was encouraged by the first hat and within less three weeks I turned three hats. I found they were easier than my expectations.

Nice, Sam!

I think I like the turned up brim a little better. Looks more festive.

I think I like this one better. Easier? OK, just keep on encouraging us turners.

Not sure if your new fashion statements are going to catch on in Paris, but they look great on your lovely
daughter. Thank you for sharing.
