The top is a piece of tamarak and the legs are recycled cedar from a garden house I tore down. Never built a bench before so I wanted something I haven’t seen. I put curves in everything because curves are hard. I have bow-tie inlays to prevent splitting on the ends and to cover up the very long timber screws that attach the legs. I originally wanted the hardwood dowels to go through the top into the legs but was having problems. They still do, but not as far as I would have liked. I added splines in the dowels for fun.
