I started sculpting this box around 9pm last night and worked till around 2am when my eyeballs stopped working. I started again about 8am and just completed it around 7:15pm. I am one tired #$%&*#.
I have 3 coats of lacquer on it and still intend to put 4 more…..but enuf for tonight. Time to shower and eat and sleep.
More photos tomorrow after I rest. Good Night.

Man that is beautiful. For some reason, it reminds me of my favorite ice cream…chocolate-peanut butter. Great job. It is really nice.

What a great job. I have made a few of these Andy boxes and until you do one you will never know how much work goes into them. Every time I finish one I swear I will never sand anything that much again. And my attempts at them are no were near as nice as yours.
Thanks for sharing.

Greg, Kudo’s power man! Can see the wave symetry that you are getting into. LOL with the base and legs as well as the angle of the picture, it reminds me of a crab?

Happy Easter!

That’s all the longer it takes you? I realize you’re very experienced but I figured a few days. Absolutely beautiful as usual.

Another beauty! What’s nice about your sculpted boxes is that you vary the woods and the patterns here and there. Each one is unique. You’ll have a terrific show.

This is cool! I could stare at it for freakishly long periods of time. Reminds me of water rings when a rock is dropped in calm water. It’s difficult to create motion in wood but you have done it!
