This is the first bowl to be finished from a Tulip Poplar root burl that was harvested this past winter.It goes to the land owner.

The bowl is around 10” in diameter and 2-3” high depending upon where it is measured.

Very nicely designed and turned ! What a lucky landowner ! Thanks for the pretty post. I am a poplar fan, tupelo,tulip etc. Root sections and root burls have always been a good source of material for me ! Thanks again for sharing !

Sorry Tamboti the bowl is now in another person’s possession. The finish is Velvit Oil. It was buffed.
