My computer room need some organization so I modified some cabinet bases to fit my needs.
The cabinets are 18 inch by 24 inch base cabinets. I installed a shelf in one to hold my external hard drives. In the other one, I made a sliding shelf to hold the scanner, which I don’t use very often.
The top is maple plywood trimmed with maple veneer. This was my first try at edge banding and it turned out pretty good.

I tried to match the different stains the best I could. The cabinets look great in subdued lighting! :-)

Here is a slideshow of the pics I took during construction.

Hope you like.

Inventive use of cabinetry. I think you did pretty good matching the colors.
Thanks for sharing.
Well done.
