My son (6 y.o.) and I threw this together in a few hours sunday afternoon. We had to use our creativity to find the right pieces from our “pile”. It’s built from some driftwood planks and boards we found together at our river bank “spot”. We decided to go for an extremely rustic look and leave the doors long to have the natural worn edges, even though they hang below the cabinet (looks like Shrek’s cupboard I was told). Mom requested to leave it untreated, no finish coat. Pictures are not great, looks better in the kitchen… Anyways, interesting and fun afternoon with little man.

That is really unique. I wonder what other “Driftwood” style projects might be out there. Very cool, thanks for posting.

He is proud for sure. He brags to everyone who has come over that he built it (to which he earned the credit) :)
It is actually neat looking, and has surprisingly wowed the guests in our home. Best part…. it was free!

Very nice unique cabinet. If your son had anything at all to do with that design, you oughtta let him burn that “chair” up! LOL
Great job. Its certainly an eye-catching piece.

Ha! He is a really great kiddo. To be honest, The “chair” gets used as a step stool more than anything.
Have your say...
