My first turning!

My very first turning! For my birthday, my wife and kids took me to woodcraft and I am now the proud owner of a supernova 2 lathe chuck as well as 2 easy wood carbide chisels. I did not get a chance to use the the easy wood chisels, I did this with the existing chisels that I already had. I know that there are swirl marks in the bottom and the base of the bowl is far from perfect, but I couldn’t be happier with myself. It is made of spalted oak and finished with paste wax applied while still in the chuck. As always, enjoy and feel free to leave any comments you feel are appropriate.

Congratulations on the new addiction!!!

There may be a flaw or two that only you notice, but it looks great to me.

Keep up the good work.
