And here is where I discovered my little love of little goblets. I made this on a lark from some a woodturners grab-bag from Woodcraft. It obviously needs refining but I loved making it so much I got a little stuck on the idea. Not a clue what kind of wood it was made from- Woodcraft grab bags are like that.
If you think you might know based on the picture (which admittedly doesn’t provide a lot of detail for analysis) let me know! The grain was fairly tight but the wood was not dense at all, extremely light and frail but not spongy.

Nice looking set of goblets. They look nice and make great projects from small pieces of wood.

Nice turning! There are so many woods that look similar, I would not venture a guess. I could mention what I’m sure it is not, but that would be of no help. Coming from woodcraft, it could be an exotic and the sky is the limit there- especially if it came from Australia where they have 800 types of eucalyptus.
Good luck on the ID and keep up the fine turning!!.............Jim
