I wanted to get my grand daughter Peyton an Alphabet Train made of wood. Saw numerous on the net for sale for an astronomical price. So, if Peyton is going to have an expensive train, why shouldn’t Grandpa Kris make it for her. And this is what I’ve done here. All made of wood just lying around my shop needing to be used for a great project. All wheels turn, no metal was used other than the brass hooks to pull it along. I used a salad bowl finish, the same I used on the end grain cutting board. I needed to remember, Peyton is only a year old, and is still teething. I didn’t want her to get sick when I know babies like to put things in their mouths. With using the salad bowl finish, I was satisfied. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I had in making it for Peyton.

Very nice. My biggest thrill is making things for my Granddaughters.

Peyton is a very lucky girl to have you to make her something that’s not only a lot of fun for her to play with, it’s also a super learning tool. Very well done, Kris.
