I can’t find the before photos but if I remember right this was pretty drastic. The finished piece, however, looks just nice enough to stand on its own.
This is what it is now – restoration was back in 2004. It was a full breakdown into its planks and components, take the drawers and doors apart and reglue them, etc. The whole piece was loose and coming apart.
Now refinished in a hand rubbed shellac and Waterlox tung oil finish it’s ready for future generations to enjoy!
