This is a project from Fine Woodworking #185 by Steve Latta. I saw it and thought “Piece o’ cake”. HA!! A lot tougher than I figured it would be. Making the filigree symmetrical was pretty daunting but I was happy with the results when it was done. Maybe a little dark with the Walnut veneer but it was meant to be a match with the Walnut table (pictured) I made earlier.
Chippendale Mirror:
40” x 24”
Poplar secondary
Walnut Burl veneer
Straight Walnut veneer
Black Walnut
Thanks for looking.
