My Grandson Jack saw the art boxes I was making for Xmas gifts & said ” Granpa I want one of those for my room” so here it is. Made form a resawn 2×4 from a big box store to book match the lid, handle & splines are Black Walnut & stained with water base blue stain, his favorite color, with a couple kid freindly coats of Shellac. He has it in his room with rocks & other treasures filling it up. Working on a green box for his brother Sam. Jack.

Really like your shaping style and color choices as they are wood and not wood at same time?
