I’ve been a member here for a good while now and have yet to show any projects. I figure its about time I got started.

To start with I’m going back to some of the things I’ve done over the last several years. First up, a couple of mantel clocks.

The first clock is made of oak and was inspired by an antique I saw in a store. I guessed at some dimensions and put my own spin to the design. The clock face was made with walnut and cherry inlay. I used a home made beading tool to create the door, and I added a little carving to the top for interest.

The second clock is made of cherry and is an antique reproduction. I used pictures and dimensions from an eBay ad and built it as close to the original as possible.

Thanks for sharing some of your work with us. Both clocks are very nice. I really like the style of the first clock. The inlay on the clock face is a nice touch.
