I made this corner wall shelf for my sister to mount a small TV on. Technically it is not finished but I am finished with it. She will paint it. I actually like the natural look. Eastern pine from the bog box store. The heart was something new for me and the curved edge is actually something new for me too.

Came out very nice, I agree with you, painting it will hide much of the beauty.
