Project Information
This is an entry way bench seat with storage for each family member's winter gear and extra storage for bulky pantry items. I made the doors there, including edge-banding. I had to make a new platform and make the locker units as well, all on sight. I was able to use solid cherry on the actual bench, and finished it with water base poly.
The shelves are cherry ply, and the hinges are blum. I made the "lockers" sections different sizes (the father's is larger than the rest). I used the festool plunge saw, and made all my cuts there. I used a "Kreg" jig and biscuits to join everyting. Drilled the holes for the door, made the toe kicks, and cut all the cherry and white plywood on sight. Keeping their garage clean was a bit of a hassel, especially when I was spraying the bench.
I'm still fairly new to this sight and enjoy all types of feedback, "the only way to get better is to know what to change".
