Book Shelf, my first

A simple book shelf, my first actually, I never really had the inspiration to make one but my wife wanted one for my sons room for his books.

It’s made of Birch plywood, the face frame is poplar. I used my favorite Mission Oak Transtint Dye followed by two coats of Minwax wiping varnish, then some dark wax.

You’ll see my satisfied client in the last picture.

Thanks for looking!

That really came out great, I like the color and the finish on it.

Wow I love the ebony color. That is a well done project and should serve you well. Looks like it is already being put to good use.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I know it’s a simple project but I guess you have to get one of these under your belt eventually. It’s actually getting me in warmed up to do more case work, cabinets and such.

Kova, thanks you! But we are on the other side of the world and its getting warm here while it must be cold over there!

Kova, Gracias! Pero estamos al otro lado del mundo y aquí está llegando el verano mientras allá debe estar frio!
