A pair of mission style mantel clocks. Design is definitely influenced by some of TJ Cross’ work. Overall size is approximately 12” tall, 10.5” wide, and 4.5” deep, with M&T joinery. The tiles are from Motawi Tileworks. Made of QSWO. I’m starting to play around with ammonia fuming. The rose is fumed for 18 hrs, and the dragonfly is a standard stained finish. I’m making my own dials now. They are solid copper, which is etched, painted, heat treated (for color), and then sealed.

They look really nice. TJ’s clocks are inspirational, and you have made some winners.

May I ask what thickness is the copper your are using for your dials. Beautiful work!!!

Try String Summit (nothing like a Grateful Dead concert). There’s a guy there every year with the same type of bird as yours – way cool.
The clocks – one is now with my mom in Mexico and the other with my son at college in Utah.
Have your say...
