Project Information

I am limited to a one car garage for my workshop so I make every attempt to make the best use of the space. A lot of this entails making my tools and accessories stowable.

This was not only my first attempt at a router table but also my first attempt workshop project. My original plan was to build a complete router table but after finishing the table top with insert it dawned on me that being that I am limited on space it might be a good idea to make the router table actually fit in my tiny garage. The router table top itself is 32" x 24".

As you can see in the photo I used my workbench as the back support to the table while using the bench clamps to hold the router table in place. This configuration makes the router table stable while ensuring I can easily stow the router table when not in use.

Great design. I'm limited to half of a two car garage so this would be a great router table for my small work area. Thanks for sharing.

That's a great idea for space saving, I also work out of a garage, it's a 2 car but I've used every inch of space, if it's on wheels or can fold up and away, it's my kind of project.

This is what I need for my tiny shop. I don't have room for a stand alone router table but I want a full size top. I have a Porter Cable router and a Jessum router lift that will work well with a setup like yours.
