Don't Take My Pen!

This project kind of goes along with the pens that I posted this morning. I am actually selling them at the park where I work. Ironically I am also the person that buys office supplies, and every month I have to buy another box of pens for the front desk. So in an effort to hang on to a pen at the front desk for longer then a day I wanted to come up with a security pen.
What you see is what I came up with. Like the pen the wood is from the park, a piece of cherry I had laying around the shop. I picked up the chain and the links at a craft store and attached them to a loop from a 7mm Christmas ornament kit that I still had left over. I will secure it to the front counter by means of heavy duty double stick tape. The other great thing about this is it gets a sample of the pens for sale into the hand of anyone filling out a membership or signing a credit card slip.

I am certainly going to make at least one more of these for me to use at the craft fairs in the fall. perhaps a few others.
