Finally decide what to do with the mini clock insert.
It looks to me as though the timepiece is extended from the wheel in a 3-D effect.
But then I’ve been known to see things that aren’t there!
Mahogany, spalted maple and clear maple handles with CA finish.

I think that I would have set the clock into the wheel and made a little prop (leg) on the backside so the wheel could stand up at an angle. Two of the “handles” would support it in the front. Know what I mean ?
The Mahogany wouldn’t be involved in its present state. Maybe make the “handles” from it instead of the plain Maple ?
Is the clock holder fixed to the wheel or can you lift it out to admire the Mahogany and the Spalted Maple below it ?
-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
