Cherry and cedar card box

This is a small card box with cherry sides and cedar top / bottom. The dowels were deliberately left out as a bit of an accent, smoothed over. The project was simply finished with some boiled linseed oil.

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

That is some real good looking wood, nice choice. The dowels are pretty cool.

Thanks for the comments and compliments. This is one of my first finished pieces; I’m a rather green wood worker.

There are many a mistake in the project, but I’m happy to say that I know what did wrong to cause most of them, so I feel it was a great learning project.

@NormG / @will delaney: I saw a small box briefly displayed in Doug Stowe’s Basic Box Making video and thought it was a very unique highlight, so I figured I’d give it a try.
