Hello fellow Jocks. Thought some of you might like to see my latest awl.
It is made from Cocobolo, (which has been vacuum infused with resin), and Stainless Steel. The ‘spike’ is made of silver steel (drill rod), which has been fully hardened and tempered. It terminates in a very fine point.
Although the spike at first seems very long, I find the tool to be really well balanced (They can be supplied with shorter spikes). I usually use these two handed, with one hand guiding the point whilst the other pushes (much like when seating a chisel in a scribed line).
I hope you like it.
This one is currently ‘doing the rounds’ in the UK as part of a test and review passaround before it goes into production.
Thanks for looking.
Adam.

Wonderful awl Adam. I really like the Cocobolo and stainless. Nice combination.
