Quasi's Nightmare Quasi's Nightmare Quasi's Nightmare Click the pictures to enlarge them

Made from many species (count them) and about 200 hours. Original plan came from Forrest Designs. I added all wood except marble delivery tube. Zylophone is made from Cocobolo. Finished with Watco natural oil. The marble machine had no base so I designed and built this one with Wenge legs and some maple and blood wood for bling. Marbles are functional as they come down two different routes and ring bells along the way-thus the name as no one should ring Quasi’s bells!

Wow, that is an incredible piece. The design and wood selection really make this a very special piece. Great job.

Cedrus,

This is a beautiful piece. I am sure that it is the focal point of the room. It certainly would get my attention.

Thanks for the post.

What a piece of art. Anyone interested in rolling ball sculpture check out this guy. http://www.eddiesmind.com/rbs.html or search for rolling ball sculptures. Just an outstanding example of craftsmanship. Would like to see more of the “marble pump” ~ it looks different than outhers I’ve seen.

That is pretty amazing, I have thought about trying a marble thingy on and off but they appear a bit daunting to me. :)
