I made this gavel and striker for my brother-in-law when he completed his auctioneers license. Now I have to call him Colonel. The box is will and the gavel and striker are Mock Orange or Osage Orange.

Looks like is would be better suited to a courtroom.

After seeing posts like this I am beginning to have a new found respect for the wood. You did a good job here and the wood is just gorgeous.
