This box is made out of Pine, just scraps,
It is 7 X 7 X 6.
I used dovetailing for joinery, (you can see this in the second photo)
After using Spackling Paste to fix any issues, I then went straight to paint.
I was trying to get a ‘Milk Paint” look, and have the wood show through.
So, I applied the paint with a brush, then rubbed it down with a clean cloth.
This gave the paint a lighter, hand rubbed look.
I think I did it, ok.
This was the first attempt of mine doing the finishing like this, and I think
I will do more and experiment with color combinations.
It is fun to be able to do what you enjoy.
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

I needed the practice. I am still learning dovetails so I try to use them as much as I can.
