This is a cedar keepsake box I custom made for a lady at work. She is giving it to her parents for their 50th anniversary.
it is a lift off lid, cedar with maple frame and handle. the box is cedar with maple splines, lined the bottom with crimson felt. I had the lid laser engraved with the date and years in the lower corners.
the finish is 4 coats of satin poly, lightly hand sanded and rubbed out. I left the inside natural per the lady’s request so the cedar smell would come out.
the inside dimensions are about 5”x8”, also requested by the lady. It turned out very nice, and she was super excited to get it.
Any comments welcomed, thanks for looking.

Great looking box. Simple, clean, and beautifully built. And I love cedar. The color, the grain, teh smell!

Very well done. The exposed biscuits are a great contrast
