Beech segmented bowl

Last year I found, in firewood pile, two pieces of beech that I have found special. That’s because wood have two colors. So I took the pieces and I glued so that the colors are on opposite sides. After a few months ago I turned this bowl. Waxy gloss lacquer finish. Hope you enjoy.

That is a great looking bowl. The way you joined the wood to hghlight the contrasting colours is very nice. great fisnish as well.

I love woods that have such strikingly different heart and sap wood. That was a very neat way to show that off. Great job.
