Cherry cases with birdseye maple pull. Maple drawers. Ebonized maple legs. My first attempt at half blind dovetails. Mortise and tenon joinery everywhere else.

Very good looking tables, I like the bit of sapwood in the top

Beautiful, I couldn’t agree more, Maple and Cherry go together very well.

What formidable tables, hair parted in the centre and not afraid of being a sap, tough legs and stance – go to bed and get up when I tell you to! and oh yeah, here’s a book in the drawer for you to read, cause I’m half blind. Seriously, I like them.

Just looking at the pictures of the tables, I was wondering if the proportions might be a bit off. Seeing them on either side of that bed, though, they look great!
