This is one of the final projects I will post before I return back to Indiana. This is a lidded box that my wife will use put change in.. She likes to play Bingo at the RV park we spend our winters at. This box is made from a piece of Mesquite I purchased from a timber dealer down around Tubac Arizona. As can be seen from the pictures the number 3 picture shows a blemish in the box which I decided to leave for character. The lid has an insert of a 1 ounce piece of .999 copper coin with an eagles head. The wood grain is beautiful and it was a fun project to complete. This was finished with EEE and shellawax.

Great piece, glad to see you left the “blemish”

Great piece and that blemish gives it character.
