The nightstand I built for my daughter is made from red oak. The finish by her request is ebonized. The feet were constructed utilizing thru-dovetails. The drawers were made with half-blind dovetails. Mortise and tenon joints hold the web frame together. The horizontal components are set into the frame with sliding dovetails.
There is also a sliding “coffee tray” that sits just above to two top drawers, but it is not all that visible as I need to add a small pull on the tray.
This project is a prototype for larger pieces that I will make for her bedroom. Dresser, chest of drawers, lingerie cabinet..
I may need some help taking this cabinet into her place, as it weighs a “ton.”

Great job. As far as moving it there are pads out there that make it really easy to move heavy things around. I have a set they work great.

what did you “ebonize” it with ? I thought it was just painted black. Nice details : )
-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
